Generations of Peace Women Plant Seeds of Hope and Solidarity in Al-Tuwani Village, Masafer Yatta

On Friday, the Women’s Group of Generations for Peace Association carried out a solidarity visit to the village of Al-Tuwani in Masafer Yatta, with the aim of standing alongside the women of the village and expressing their solidarity with them in light of the difficult circumstances they are facing. During the visit, the women of the Association met with women from the village and listened to their stories, daily experiences, and the challenges they face, as well as the impact of these circumstances on their lives, families, and sense of safety. The women also shared their own personal stories and experiences of loss and pain, and discussed the importance of solidarity, communication, and the role of women in strengthening social cohesion and building bridges for peace. As a symbolic gesture carrying messages of love, peace, and hope, the women planted flowers in the village as an expression of their solidarity with the women of Al-Tuwani and their commitment to hope and life despite the difficult challenges and circumstances they face. Generations for Peace Association extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Canadian Representative Office, through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), for its support of the Association’s women’s project. This support contributes to strengthening the role of women, empowering them, and creating spaces for communication, solidarity, and peacebuilding towards a safer and more cohesive society.
